On December 31, 2025, President Trump issued a Proclamation postponing the planned Section 232 tariff increases affecting upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets, and vanities. The increases were originally scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026, but have now been deferred until January 1, 2027.

Upholstered furniture: Current 25% duty rate, increasing to 30% effective January 1, 2027
